DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nGet Involved: Participate\, Volunteer or Sponsor!\nBioME’s 8th annual ME Bioscience Day will be held throughout the week of November 13\, 2023. This is a statewide event that aims to get middle school students excited about science and inform them of the opportunities that they might have working in a science-related field in their future. In the last two years\, we have done this event remotely. This year\, we are introducing a hybrid model with both in-person and virtual programming. \nBioscience Association of Maine (BioME) started this initiative in 2016 to promote science as a subject in schools and create student awareness for a potential career path in a science field. ME Bioscience Day 2022 was able to reach over 6\,700 students from 46 schools. Help us keep it going for 8th annual event in 2023 through participation\, volunteer or sponsorship![/vc_column_text][vc_btn style=”btn-1 secondary” title=”LEARN MORE” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fbiomaine.org%2Fme-bioscience-day%2F”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Activas Diagnostics’ first product is an “under the sheets” mattress system that will innovate neurotechnology for home sleep monitoring. Our value proposition is based on our recent study of 100 aging persons with and without early AD. In over 200 nights of sleep recording in the home\, we determined AD risk based on arousal system irregularities detected in periodic microstructural movements impaired in AD. Using AI\, we have identified a time signature of this process that can classify patients with early AD\, or mild cognitive impairment. The marketing potential of our sleep device is supported by Activas’ NIH using AI algorithms and has been designated a de novo device system by the FDA with a developed regulatory path. Activas Diagnostics\, LLC has assembled an exceptional and committed commercial and medical device business development team\, hardware/software manufacturing contracts and a pivot commercial digital device business model.
