Earlier this month MDI Biological Lab announced a new program supporting pilot projects in R&D areas broadly related to regenerative and aging biology and medicine. The primary objectives of the Pilot Project Program of the MDI Biological Laboratory Center for Comparative Biology of Tissue Repair, Regeneration and Aging are to 1) establish collaborations between COBRE investigators and investigators at other Maine institutions who have basic, clinical and translational research interests broadly related to the fields of regenerative and aging biology, 2) attract additional investigators to the Center to stimulate new programmatic activities that will help build long-term sustainability, and 3) promote utilization of Center bioinformatic and animal resource cores. At least $100,000 of funding is available for scientifically meritorious projects. Learn more here
