Portland makes top 10 in ranking of Best Places to Live

PORTLAND, Maine — A Maine city has been named one of the best places to live by U.S. News & World Report. Portland was ranked as the No. 8 best place to live in the U.S., ahead of No. 9, Sarasota, Florida and just behind Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The survey looked at 150 of the most populous metro areas for their ranking. High ranking cities had to have a good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and offer a high quality of life, according to U.S. News & World Report. Read more
