Meet 5 Future Scientists: MSSM summer science Camp scholarship winners
We are happy to announce that this year BioME is funding 5 scholarships in the form of 1-week-long summer science camps at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone. We originally intended to give out 4 scholarships but after reviewing all applications, BioME Board of Directors decided to grant an additional award ! All 5 awardees attend schools that participated in ME Bioscience Day 2018.
ME Bioscience Day is a state-wide event where Maine scientists visit local middle schools to talk with students about their career and the opportunities that are available in science based careers. Next ME Bioscience Day will take place in November 2019.
The MSSM Summer Science Camp program provides an opportunity for campers to exchange ideas and experiences with like-minded peers and an enthusiastic and dedicated staff who share their passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
